User Testing at Museum Boerhaave: How the Guide Breaks Down Language Barriers

A few weeks ago we started user testing our AI Museum Guide at Museum Boerhaave. We wanted to know: what do visitors really think of this pilot? And it was a pleasant surprise to see how the guide adds value right away.

During the tests we met a Japanese family. The children spoke English, but the parents didn't. Even so, thanks to the Japanese translations in our guide, they could fully enjoy the information. The father, a doctor himself, happily dove into the details of the models of eye diseases: a great example of how technology widens access to knowledge.

Unfortunately, we had to disappoint them: the guide isn't available throughout the whole museum yet. But it was inspiring to see how the AI Museum Guide breaks down language barriers and connects visitors with the collection in a new way.
